Easter Goodies

Yes, the Easter Bunny made a stop at our house. The girls got cute little Easter bonnets.

Shimmer is opting for the "If I just hurry and look sweet, they will take the picture and I will be done' look. She was successful.

Breezy has the "I cannot believe what they make me do" look.
And Stormie just poses like the pro and shows everyone how it's done.

They also got these absolutely gorgeous collars from Crazy for Collars. They are called 'Chihuahua Princess', so of course the girls had to each have one. And wonderful Suzanne added the bling with the rhinestone crowns in the center of the bow.
Everyone got a basket full of yummies and goodies:

Shimmer always looks like she is smiling.

Breezy, once again, just wants it over with so that she can dig into the goodies.

Here is Cooper's basket....

And here is Cooper:

We never could get both in the same picture. Cooper never stops moving. You will notice the treats in his basket. They are the Bil-Jac treats that everyone here loves, but they are called 'Little Gooberlicious'. We always say to Cooper "You are such a goober', so I (I mean the Easter Bunny) couldn't resist getting them for him. He also got two new collars from Crazy for Collars.

Yep, pretty spoiled pups.

Cooper thinks that's just the way it should be.

Organizing Collars

We have lots of collars, all from Crazy for Collars. They are the best!

I had them all in a drawer, but I could never seem to remember exactly which ones I had and wouldn't get inspired to have the dogs wear them.

Today, Shawn the Wonder Guy, helped me out by putting up this great rack to display them on. I bought a very inexpensive wooden towel bar at Lowes ($5). Shawn had a four foot piece of dowel that fit perfectly in the holes of the brace pieces, and POOF! Instant organization.

I love it.

Cooper is feeling very sad that he doesn't have as many collars as the girls, though.

I tried to explain it by saying that I have to buy everything in triplicate for them, so it just LOOKS like they have alot.

I don't think he's buying it.

Don't worry, Cooper, I have a nice wish list of new collars for you that I am sending to Suzanne this week!

Lovely Easter Model

I know it has been a while since I have written, and I apologize. We are dealing with a family situation that takes up most of my time. I will write a post about it all soon!

Meanwhile, I am still in business, making our clothing designs and Easter has been a busy time!! One of the requests I received was to custom fit this lovely little Trixie in a Sparkly Easter Dress that had the bow that matched the Easter collar available at Crazy for Collars.

Trixie looks stunning and it was lots of fun to work with my dear friend, Suzanne, to coordinate our designs. We are looking forward to doing more in the future!

Christmas Collars

It is no big secret that we love Suzanne at Crazy for Collars. In fact, she and I have decided that we must be twin sisters separated at birth as we think so much alike. We can get some good, rousing conversations going, that's for sure!

When I saw that she had cute Reindeer collars for Christmas, I knew that I had to get some for the girls, to coordinate with their Reindeer tshirts that I had been selling.

They have been wearing the collars and tshirts for a few days now and look so cute.

Halloween 2010

The Great Pumpkin visited our house and left lots of goodies for the girls.

We figure he must have thought that the girls looked so cute in their cheerleader costumes from Pure Country Pet Boutique and their Halloween collars from Crazy for Collars, so he left them so many treats and toys.

We don't normally get that many trick or treaters at our house, but this year we had quite a few and even ran out of candy! Fortunately, Hannah had her own stash and donated some for the cause.
The girls didn't really like the constant door bell ringing, so we went downstairs and worked in the studio all evening.
At least I got to enjoy their cuteness!

Rollin' Down the River

We have been having some very hot weather here this last week, so when Shawn's sister and her husband suggested we go out on the river and have a picnic dinner on their boat, we didn't hesitate for a moment. Stormie wanted to go in her new boating traveling bag that we found on clearance at PetSmart!

This also gave Stormie a great opportunity to try out her Paws Aboard life jacket that we purchased at Paws for a Cause. Because is was so hot, she only wore it for a short while, but was definitely adorable! I know, the hat and doggles just make the whole outfit complete, huh?

Stormie wasn't so sure she was enjoying herself at first, but after she got used to the noise of the engine and the bobbing up and down, she started relaxing and having some fun.

We settled into a nice shady cove and stopped to have our dinner. Some other friends of ours were out on their boat and joined up with us. They had their little dog, Maggie, with them. She was jealous of Stormie's collar from Crazy for Collars, so we decided it would look really nice on her and let her have it. She went home very happy.

Stormie soon was feeling comfortable enough (other than the heat, always harder on a dog with a black coat. Honestly, she drank lots of water!) to start exploring the boat, even tried to convince everyone that perhaps she should try her paw at driving!

Hannah wanted to take her out on the float tube, but we decided she liked the view better from
my lap.

In the end, we wore the poor little thing out and she snoozed on the way back to the dock.
Life is rough for Stormie, don't you think???

The Postman Delivereth

Our dogs have learned to love the mailman. And the UPS man. And the FedEx man. The dogs have learned that when these guys (and at our house they are guys, so I am not being sexist) come to the door, most likely the package is going to be good stuff for them.

Such was the case the other day when we got a package from Suzanne at Crazy for Collars, filled with glorious new collar designs for the girls to model and do a photo shoot.

Suzanne's collars are always fabulous, but they just keep getting better and better. As I handled each one I would say, "Oh, I love this one. We may have to get one of these." For a little while there it looked as if Suzanne may not get any of them returned to her as I would choose to keep ALL of them.

Of course I had to have the one that was made from the same fabric as the dress that Stormie was wearing on the cover of the May/June issue of Chihuahua Connection magazine.

The collars that Suzanne makes at Crazy for Collars are so bright and cheerful with their added bow. While our girls love the bows, some dogs would probably prefer collars without them, which Suzanne is happy to supply. She also makes adorable little bowtie bows for the boys.

Here are a few more of the new designs that we photographed this weekend:

Collars are such a wonderful summer fashion accessory. When the temperatures start to get warm and your dog doesn't want to wear a lot of clothing, a collar is still that perfect fashion statement. At Crazy for Collars, there is a collar for every design preference.

The girls think everyone should have a different collar for every day.

Are we getting a little spoiled...??

We are Crazy for 'Crazy for Collars'

We had a wonderful opportunity to help out our great friend, Suzanne, of Crazy for Collars, by modeling some of her new Spring line of collars.
Stormie did a great job and of course, loved all the attention.
I love Suzanne's collars. They are superbly made and come in all sizes from X-Small to Large. Suzanne lovingly makes each one herself and is one very creative lady. The bows are a wonderful addition that really makes them stand out!

Thanks, Suzanne, for entrusting us to help your collars look great!
