Shots for Stormie

Today was D-day for Miss Stormie. Her three year reprieve from the vet's office was at an end and it was time to go get her immunizations.

I think she knew something was up last night as she was very clingy and just wanted to be held and snuggle up under my chin. Poor Baby.

I made the appointment for early morning, wanting to get it over with. Plus, if she had any reactions, as little dogs often do, I wanted to be able to still get her back to the clinic before they closed and we would have to use the emergency clinic.

Stormie did fantastic. She went nose-to-nose with Ivan, the clinic cat, letting him know that the Diva had arrived.

Everyone was in love with her, from the others in the waiting room, to the hospital staff. Stormie let everyone pet her and hold her and fuss over her. She liked them all, except for the vet tech that stuck the thermometer you-know-where. She wouldn't look at him anymore after that.

She got her physical and was deemed in excellent health, got all her shots (ouch. I think they bothered me much more than her), we renewed her licensing for three years, paid the bill (another ouch) and were on our way. By now there was a whole new group of people in the waiting room that wanted to say hello, so more petting and loves, a good bye glance at Ivan, and then out the door. She came through the front door, went right to her sisters to tell them all about it, and now she is curled up in her favorite bed, resting from all the 'trauma'.

I love our vet and all the staff at Linwood Animal Clinic. They are all so kind and nice and the animals feel very comfortable with them.

Good thing, because Shimmer and Breezy both have their turns coming up in the next two months.
